One of my favorite neighborhoods to grab dinner in is the Nolita area of Soho.  There are so many little spots that serve amazing food and drinks in a cozy, chic atmosphere.  Balboosta restaurant is one of these spots that I love to head to for a nice glass of red wine.   It is a mediterranean restaurant with Israeli roots serving local ingredients and an extensive list of organic wines.  The atmosphere is warm and inviting and if you can grab a seat by the window, it has some of the best people watching around.   Today I kicked off happy hour with a glass of Lompoc Pinot Noir from the Santa Rita Hills.  It was smooth and the perfect way to kick off a relaxed evening.  Since I was going for a casual look, I wore my favorite LNA clothing sweater with my trusty J Brand Velvet skinnies. The Vanessa Mooney choker necklace completed my look.  The perfect happy hour ensemble!

What The Experts Say:

Lompac Pinot Noir boasts flavors of dark cherry, raspberry, spice, rhubarb, white pepper and herbs backed with bracing acidity and smooth tannins.

What I Say:

Pinot noir is not usually the first type of red wine I reach for, but this glass was absolutely delicious.  A lot of times I find pinot noir to be too sweet, but this wine was the perfect balance between sweet and peppery.  It was very smooth and easy to drink.  If you are a pinot noir lover, then this wine is for you!

Colleen
