Beaubourg Brasserie is one of my favorite spots in the city to sit outside with a nice glass of wine and a cheese board. Located in Le District in Battery Park, this restaurant makes you feel like you are in an outdoor café in France. Le District is a curated marketplace for delicious French-inspired fare. The atmosphere is very unique combining rustic French decor with a NYC spin. I love sitting outside on the lounge chairs on the water watching people stroll by. On this particular day the weather was so nice I decided to go with a glass of the Domaine Saint Andrieu Rosé paired with three distinct french cheeses (Brie du Pommier, Fourme d’Ambert and Comte Elegance). All three of these went perfectly with this light and crisp rosé. Since this was a casual post-work catch up with friends on a Friday afternoon, I decided to dress very laid-back with a light blue American Eagle t-shirt and destroyed white denim. The floral pumps gave my outfit a little extra pop of color. This was the perfect look for post-work drinks in a relaxing outdoor environment. What The Experts Say:
Quintessential Provencal grape varieties (Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah) give this rosé a light litchi color and a delicate citrus nose. The fresh and full mouth reveals a palate of passion fruit and citrus with a long and elegant finish. This delicious rosé pairs perfectly with Provençal cuisine such as stuffed garden vegetables or seared scallops with herbs from Provence.
What I Say:
This rosé was super crisp and refreshing. I could taste the passionfruit and the citrus flavors instantly. I would definitely recommend this wine to anyone who wants a light glass of rosé.
