I am constantly in search of the best charcuterie plates in Manhattan and I think I may have found one of my top 5 at Osteria Morini in Soho. This rustic Italian restaurant has a great selection of Italian meats and cheeses served with a generous portion of fresh bread. When I come here, I almost always order this as a meal because I am usually too full for an entree afterwards! Today's plate is all about the creamy spreadable Squacquerone cheese. Squacquerone is an Italian fresh cream cheese with a tangy taste. It pairs perfectly with bread and fresh prosciutto. The other cheese I picked was a Carpa Sada which is a soft goat cheese with a sweet flavor and butter aromas. To accompany my plate I paired it with a Tre Monti Sangiovese that is one of the smoothest reds I've had in awhile. The combination is dynamite and makes the perfect app/drink pairing! Since I popped in for a late afternoon bite, my outfit was super casual. I wore a J. Crew Sweatshirt with J Brand jeans and Rag & Bone Booties. I layered on the bracelets and rings to add a little shine.

What The Experts Say:
Thea Riserva opens with dark and austere notes of black licorice, tar, black cherry and crushed granite. There's a dusty quality to the close followed by a dry but fresh finish.
What I Say:
This is a super tasty classic red table wine that will go with pretty much any Italian dish. Not too sweet and sightly tangy I couldn't think of a better compliment to this cheese plate!
