One of the best parts about fall besides apple cider is that it is finally boot season.   I absolutely love booties and this season there are so many that I have my eye on.   Some of the major trends are white boots, studs and patent leather.  I really love the white boot trend because it is a great way to add a statement to your look and gives a cool 60's mod style vibe.  My other favorite trend is patent leather.  Ever since I was little kid and got all dressed up in my dress and patent leather shoes for Easter Sunday, I have always loved this look.  These boots from Kendall + Kylie are super stylish and will look perfect paired with a white tee and leather moto jacket.  To shop my picks, click the links above and below.

I love it when a designer creates a basic top with a subtle twist.  This striped button down top from Paige is one of my favorite acquisitions for fall.  The silhouette is a staple, but the small ruffle detail on the shoulder gives it just the right amount of flare to make it a stand out piece.    This top is so versatile and can be worn with anything from jeans to a pencil skirt for an office-ready look.  Today I paired it with my high waisted charcoal DL1961 skinny jeans and denim Tony Bianco pumps.  I recently discovered Tony Bianco shoes and I am such a fan!  They have beautiful shoes at a fraction of the price of high-end designers.  To shop my look, click the links above and below.

I am very strategic when it comes to what pieces of clothing and accessories I splurge on.   Everyone has their own personal preferences when it comes to what they like to spend their money on, but I always advise my clients to pick and choose carefully because some pieces are trendy and won't be in style past one season.  For example, I am a big proponent of splurging on handbags because a nice handbag can instantly make any outfit look amazing.  When it comes to shoes, for the most part I think along the same lines with some exceptions.  Since living in NYC, I realize how much of a beating my shoes take.  Between the subway, dirty sidewalks, winter elements and grates my shoes always end up looking beat up.  I think that there are certain shoes that are worth the high-end price tag and others where you are better off getting the look for less.  If the shoe is super trendy like these embroidered Gucci loafers or studded pearl shoes, I recommend getting the less expensive version because they probably won't be in style for more than a few seasons.  On the flip side, a classic pair of black pumps or over the knee boots that you will wear over and over again are worth spending a little more on because you get more use out of them.  Shoes that are more expensive are usually made with higher quality materials so they tend to wear a lot better than a synthetic shoe would from Zara.  Today I have rounded up some of the biggest shoe trends right now at both a higher and lower price point.  Happy shopping!
