Hello City Luxers,

There is nothing like a great investment piece that you can pair with just about anything in your closet.  When I bought this Rag & Bone vest I knew that I would be able to get so much use out of it with things I already own.  With pieces like these, I don’t mind spending a little bit more because they can be repurposed and will always be in style.  Today I paired my vest with jeans for a more casual look but you can also see a previous blog post where I styled it with a skirt for an interesting spin on office attire.   To make todays look a little dressier, I wore my favorite Schutz strappy lace up heels and a dressier silk tank underneath.  To shop the full look, click the links above.

J. Crew Jacket (sold out similar here) / J. Crew Tee / Schutz Sandals / Clare V. Clutch / Bauble Bar Necklace (similar here)

Hello City Luxers,

This post is being brought to you by camouflage.  Camo is one my favorite prints right now!  I like to incorporate it into my looks the same way I do with leopard.  It’s a great neutral that can be used to take a casual look to the next level.  I am really loving this camo coat by J. Crew.  It is the perfect light jacket that can be worn over a simple tee or other layers as the weather starts to get colder.   Luxe tip—when wearing a print like camo, try to keep everything else in the ensemble pretty basic.

Colleen

Hello City Luxers,

As the fall weather continues to get colder, I can't help but think about the beautiful summer we had this year. Here on the east coast the weather is only warm for such a short period of time, I take advantage of it! One of the best things about warm weather is that it is a lot easier to get dressed.  You don’t have to think about jackets, socks, scarves and other outerwear that you may need to keep warm.    One item that I love to wear in the warmer months is a light pair of silk track pants.  They can be worn both dressy and casual depending on what the print is or what you pair them with.   During the summer I wore this outfit during a visit home to see my parents in Massachusetts.   I typically don’t love paisley prints, but I couldn’t resist these pants once I tried them on.  This is a great outfit for a lunch with friends or a casual business meeting. What is your favorite thing to wear in the summer?

xx,

Colleen
